Cesc to return against West Ham

The talented Francesc Fabregas has been out since March 6, but good news arrived at the Emirates Stadium: he will be back for the clash against West Ham United on Saturday.

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger told the press that "Fabregas and Tomas Rosicky have a final test tomorrow morning. They should be available for our game against West Ham."

The Spanish midfielder will undergo a final fitness test tomorrow morning, however, William Gallas - another injured star - is unlikely to join him on Saturday's match.

Rumours in the last days assured that Juventus is after Cesc, but he claims to be focused only in his recovery and in Arsenal's campaign this season of the Premier League.

Arsenal most talented player Cesc Fabregas has refused to throw in the towel in this season's Premier League title race.

Indeed, many fans have dismissed the Gunners' chances of ending a five-year league trophy drought as Arsene Wenger's side sit 10 points behind leaders Manchester United, having also played a game more than the defending champions.

But the popular Cesc - who is expected to return from his knee injury against Manchester City next Saturday - has not given up hope and has set overhauling third-placed Chelsea as the first target.

The Gunners captain recognises that an assault on top spot would be a shock, but he feels that a 100 per cent conclusion to Arsenal's campaign would make anything possible.

Cesc attended the launch of his new 'Campus Cesc' soccer school near Barcelona, and spoke about this subject: "I believe in miracles. It has happened before in football so why not this year?

"I know, though, that it is going to be difficult. Right now we have to think about catching Chelsea and then we will think about the others.

"But what we must think about is winning the eight games we have remaining."

Fabregas, who has been sidelined since sustaining his injury before Christmas, is also looking forward to linking up with January arrival Andrey Arshavin.

"You can see he (Arshavin) is a special player and when he plays everyone expects him to do something," added the 21-year-old. "We are very happy to have this guy. And it is a shame he cannot play in the Champions League, but I am sure he can have a very big impact until the end of the season."

Cesc confident to recover against Manchester United on Saturday

Arsenal spanish talent Cesc Fabregas has challenged his team-mates to prove they are good enough to turn around their recent slump when they face Manchester United at the weekend.

As we know, Arsenal were held to a goalless draw against Fenerbahce in the Champions League on Wednesday night, meaning they have gone three games without a victory.

"We have to keep going," Fabregas admitted. "The next match, against Manchester United, is massive. This is welcomed because it's a big game and big players want to play in big games."

He expressed: "We don't want excuses because we are playing for Arsenal and a lot of players would like to be in our position. We must make sure we give everything on the pitch always."

Gunners coach Arsene Wenger accused referees and opponents of victimising his side following the stalemate with Fenerbahce.

After criticising Stoke for deliberately harming his players at the weekend, Mikael Silvestre is a fresh injury concern after his nose was injured in a challenge involving Semih Senturk.

Wenger said: "Was it intentional? I don't know. He rotated his arm. You must ask the player."

Goalkeeper Manuel Almunia missed the Group G clash with an upset stomach, while Bacary Sagna, Theo Walcott and Emmanuel Adebayor were also sidelined. Wenger is getting increasingly frustrated as he feels different rules apply to his team.

He said: "You can look at the fair play table. Who is top? Arsenal Football Club. We have no lessons to learn from anyone on that front. Look at the team that makes less fouls - it is Arsenal Football Club.

"Who gets the more yellow cards after four or five fouls? The answer in Arsenal Football Club. Some teams get their first yellow card after 15 fouls. I cannot read the (rule) book or something is wrong."
